THE SPIERINGS MEDICAL GROUP

Code Of Ethics

Our Primary Commitment: Patient Health

Patient-First Focus
Our principal mission is to promote your health and act in your best interest. While we operate as a business, we do not function as a profit-maximizing entity.
Accountability for Errors
If an error occurs, we will fully admit to the mistake, take complete accountability, and commit to correcting it as quickly and thoroughly as possible.

Financial Transparency, Integrity & Independence

Cost-Price Investigations
We charge you the exact cost price for all third-party investigations (e.g., blood tests, radiology, pathology). We do not apply any mark-up.
No Referral Fees
We neither pay nor accept referral fees of any kind from doctors, clinics, hospitals, or non-medical companies.
Financial Independence
We maintain complete financial independence from all service providers we use, including pharmacies.
Fair Fees
Our fees are fair, aligned with market standards, and reflect our level of expertise, experience, and the value of care we provide to our patients.
In-Clinic Medication Pricing
Medications that must be administered in the clinic are billed at the approved retail price. Medical facilities are legally not allowed to give discounts or make a profit on registered medications.
Procedure Cost
The full cost of any procedure (including products/consumables, if applicable) will be discussed with you before you sign the consent form.

Communication and Referral

Open Communication
We ensure you are fully informed about your care with us by providing a clinic letter after your appointment, a copy of all signed consent form(s) for any treatment or procedure, and copies of test results as soon as we receive them.
Appropriate Referrals
If you require referral to an external provider, our selection is based solely on finding the most appropriate doctor or specialist who can best assist you.

Professional Conduct & Compliance

Strict Confidentiality
We maintain strict and complete patient confidentiality at all times.
Zero Tolerance for Fraud
We strictly adhere to the law and maintain a zero-tolerance policy against insurance fraud.
No Medication Dispensing
We do not dispense or supply prescription medication from the clinic, as we are not a pharmacy.
Medical Necessity
We only recommend procedures that you genuinely need, not solely for profit purposes.
Minors Policy
We do not see children under the age of 18 without a parent or guardian present during the appointment.
Employment Compliance
We follow all MOHRE (Ministry of Human Resources & Emiratization) requirements when hiring and maintaining employees.

Ethical Product Sales

We sell selected products in the clinic and adhere to the American Academy of Dermatology guidance on ethical product sales:

  • We clearly declare any conflict of interest.
  • We do not charge more for the products than the standard retail price.
  • We do not sell health-related products whose claims of benefit lack validity.
  • We ensure it is clear to the patient that the products we sell are not inherently different from those that can be purchased through any other retailer.

Commitment to Improvement

We welcome all feedback—both positive and negative—as part of our commitment to continuous learning and improvement. Please email Dr. Natalia with your feedback at natalia@drnataliaspierings.com.
