Juvéderm is an injectable hyaluronic acid filler used to restore volume, improve facial contours, and soften lines. Who is This For?

Juvéderm is suitable for adults who:

It is not appropriate with active skin infections, certain inflammatory conditions, or unrealistic expectations.

How it Works

Juvéderm uses advanced cross-linking technology (Vycross®) to stabilise hyaluronic acid within tissue, allowing it to remain for an extended period before gradual enzymatic breakdown. Once injected into specific skin layers or deeper tissue planes, HA binds water molecules — increasing tissue hydration and volume. The effect is reversible: the filler can be dissolved using hyaluronidase if required.

What to Expect

1. Pain level: Mild. Juvéderm contains lidocaine; topical anaesthetic is also available.

Preparation and Aftercare

Before treatment:

• Avoid alcohol and blood thinners to reduce bruising
• Ensure no active skin infections in the treatment area

After treatment:

• Do not massage the area unless advised

• Minimise exposure to excessive heat for 24 to 48 hours
